The goal was to make travel and the financial side of it effortless for users, enabling swift international payments with low fees, seamless spending abroad at the best exchange rates, and uncompromising security.

It highlights their preferences for handling foreign currency, as well as the pain points they experience when engaging with exchanges and ordering travel cash. This information is crucial for understanding their needs and improving the travel money experience.

Understanding the initial steps Gen X users take to order travel cash was key. The goal was to identify how to simplify the process, allowing users to skip steps and order directly.

I ran workshops with card sorting exercises to map how users prefer to order travel cash to their home. I also collaborated with the business to prioritize high-value features while balancing the development effort required.

I built a hybrid native and responsive mobile app, offering the same capabilities as the web version, however this was useful for those travelling that dont always have access to a desktop computer

Emphasizing security and safety was crucial, as research showed these were top concerns for users, so was important the front facing site highlighted this.
