Ubuntu, a widely popular open-source platform used by millions worldwide, made for an exciting opportunity to design a mobile OS. I worked on the core product, defining patterns, visual UI, principles, motion UX, and language for eight apps, including the platform itself. The project attracted significant public attention from outlets such as TechCrunch, BBC, and ZDNet, and won multiple awards, including recognition as a winner at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Worked on both the visual and motion design of several app screens shown below, like the clock, app switcher & the home screen.

Below offers a hands-on review of the Ubuntu Mobile OS, showcasing the device in action and how the interface behaves in real use.
Below is the visual showing the main swipe gestures on the phoneโs four edges: swipe right to switch apps, left to open a dock (similar to macOS), swipe down from the top to access the notification center, and swipe up from the bottom to open the management center for phone organization.

Below are visuals of the browser app. The challenge was integrating multiple features smooth tab switching, bookmark management, history viewing, and browser window actions into a seamless user experience.
