Ubuntu Mobile OS
Ubuntu Mobile OS
Ubuntu, a widely popular open-source platform used by millions worldwide, made for an exciting opportunity to design a mobile OS. I worked on the core product, defining patterns, visual UI, principles, motion UX, and language for eight apps, including the platform itself. The project attracted significant public attention from outlets such as TechCrunch, BBC, and ZDNet, and won multiple awards, including recognition as a winner at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
CHALLENGE
Defined new patterns to compete with established platforms like iOS and Android, creating a visual UI tailored to the ‘smart traditionalist’ target market.
